Dr Oldfield completed her medical training in the UK at University College London where she obtained her medical degree. She went on to complete diplomas in Family Planning(DFFP) and Obstetrics and Gynaecology; (Dip O&G) whilst completing her GP training in the UK, as well as  the postgraduate qualification MRCGP.

Moving with her family to New Zealand in 2004, Dr Oldfield went on to obtain her NZ general practice qualification (FRNZCGP). At that time, she worked as a GP in a busy urban practice in New Plymouth. Whilst working there, Dr Oldfield decided to pursue her interest in Integrative Medicine, combining her passion for lifestyle and nutritional medicine.

She set up her own integrative practice in 2012 in New Plymouth. In 2016 she completed six months in a busy integrative GP practice in Australia where she gained invaluable skills and knowledge. She completed her Australian GP qualification whilst there (FRACGP).

Following her time in Australia, she formed Healthspace with Dr Carey Martin.

Dr Oldfield is a member of the Australasian Integrative Medicine Association (AIMA) and a member of the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine. She has completed the Foundations of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (NEM) and is currently studying for her fellowship, having obtained a scholarship.  She is a member of the Royal College of NZ GP’s and is certified with the Medical Council of NZ.

Dr Oldfield enjoys the New Zealand outdoor life, and takes time out running, adventure racing, biking, yoga and is a representative tennis player for Taranaki. She is learning Te Reo Māori and enjoys keeping up to date with news and current affairs around the world. She is also a keen traveller and has visited many countries.
