Coaching for Optimal Fertility
Preconception is the MOST important phase in a woman’s journey to becoming a mother as it sets the stage for the health of both the mother and the baby during pregnancy and beyond.
Trying to conceive, or trying to enhance future fertility, can feel like a hard journey emotionally and physically, and the situation can easily become isolating and overwhelming.
By working with me 1:1, I can support you to manage stress, set individualised foundations for conception, a healthy pregnancy, labour and birth preparation and postpartum recovery. We can work out where your nutritional deficiencies are with a comprehensive dietary history and develop a supplement plan targeted to your individual needs.
Coaching support during the process of pre-conception planning or fertility treatment can help you deal with the emotional effects of treatment and make beneficial lifestyle changes, so you become healthier and feel emotionally stronger whilst trying to conceive.

During the initial weeks of pregnancy as the embryo becomes a fetus, DNA is sequenced and patterned, creating the character of the new baby. Nutrition plays a key role in ensuring your body has all the essential nutrients it requires to nourish and grow your developing baby.

The postpartum time can be a time focused completely on the new baby. We mustn’t forget about ourselves at this very vulnerable time. It is very important to replenish blood, nutrients and renew physical strength. Nourishing your body well at this time also helps to support mood and hormone health and set you up for a positive motherhood journey.
Recovery from the birth and breastfeeding your baby can take a huge toll on you as the new mother. Adequate nutrition and rest combined with the appropriate postnatal support from family/whanau and friends can ensure that optimal recovery occurs for your body and mind.
It is essential to remember it took nine months for your amazing body to grow your baby, so be kind and give yourself time to recover and replenish. It can take from 18-24 months to recover fully. Postpartum depletion is REAL. If you feel like you are behind in your recovery and still feel depleted when your baby is just turning one – this is normal! Replenishing both your emotional and nutrient stores whether you are still breastfeeding or planning your next pregnancy is essential to ensure your feel energised and strong and prepared for the next phase – whatever this may be for you.

We will formulate your personal goals and health strategies, and dive deep into nutritional patterns, physical activity, sleep habits, stress management and emotional wellbeing.

Summary of overall health concerns identified and key nutrition GOALS
